2017 Zlatne Uste Golden Festival, Jan 13th & 14th
The celebration begins Friday night with a dance workshop from 7:30-8:45 and live music until 12:30 am. The festival resumes at 6 pm Saturday with four simultaneous music stages and doesn’t wind down until early Sunday morning.
From international stars to local favorites, more than 50 bands from all over the world come to play and sing Albanian, Bulgarian, Romany (Gypsy), Macedonian, Serbian, Greek, Turkish, Hungarian, Norwegian, Swedish, Klezmer, Ukrainian, and Georgian music, among others. Enjoy hours of beautiful and energetic music, unusual rhythms, and mouth-watering Balkan and Middle Eastern refreshments. Dancing is encouraged. Bop to a brass band, chill to a quiet set of songs, bask in the luxurious setting of a restored local landmark.
